So one year ago, we uploaded a terrible comic that was drawn on loose-leaf paper with the intentions of starting a webcomic.

Here I am, one year later, uploading a terrible comic that was drawn on a Wacom for a webcomic that crashed and burned.

I just feel like this is a special occasion, and I want to recognize it. Yeah, IV turned out the be nothing. But it was still our first comic and our first attempt at making something. At times we succeeded, at others we failed, but we had a good time doing it.

And for this, I pay homage to our shitty comic with a special one year edition.

I can’t say I’m artistically satisfied with the hands, and Deryn’s posture in the last panel. It’s a noticeably different style, I dunno why, but this is how it came out. I’ve still got a lot to work on, but I am slowly improving.

Deryn and I have been talking about a new project recently…but I won’t discuss that just yet.

I think I’ll be resurrecting the site in a bit. Instead of running a comic it’ll just be an art blog, so I can post the different things I draw. I don’t know. I’d keep the old comics in the archive. I guess I just want to show a record of me improving. If I am.

Deryn wants to do a bunch of promotional shit for people. He wants to be called ‘Promospectiv.’ I think that’s pretty exclusive to doing promotions and only promotions. That’s not necessarily what I want to be about.

Within the past few weeks Deryn has gotten me to do some material for two gaming marathons. You can see one of our contributions here, I had to draw that without my pretty Wacom. I am not entirely impressed with it. I did another, better, one for a Metroid Marathon, but Deryn hasn’t told me if it’s been posted yet. I guess I’ll end up adding that one to the archive one of these days.

I’ll just post random stuff, maybe until we can get into comicking again. I don’t even know if I want to comic again, right now. But I guess we’ll see what comes along in the future.

So, meh. I guess we’ll be back again after all.

Well today I want to tell everyone Dennis over at CloverfieldClues was given 3 Cloverfield DVDs to give away. So to do this he has 3 contests running. These are a Kishin Caption contest (Where you take blank pages from the Cloverfield manga and add funny dialog), a Clue Hunt (in which a clue is hidden in the site every day), and a normal enter and win contest.

I entered in the Kishin Caption contest in hopes of victory and with Blake’s laughs of inspiration I have a believable chance of victory! I entered a total of 4 comics to be judged and of those four, I chose the best to show to you here. Dennis puts all entries here.

Update: It’s over, I lost. Apparently I didn’t even get to be one of the eight finalists. Personally, I think Dennis just has crap taste in humor, but thats just me. Thanks for those who supported me.
